Copyright

Case study 1

George Harrison was found guilty of copyright infringement for his hit single “My Sweet Lord” Bright Tunes music Corporation had Obtained the copyright for the 1963 hit, “He’s So Fine,” Which was written by Ronald Mack and originally performed by the Cliffons. Did George Harrison borrow his musical ideas from Mak’s hit song?

Only he would know. I think his songs are different but there are a few things that are the same too.

Case Study 2

In 1987 artist Lebbeus Woods drew a chair. Then Universal Studios released the film 12 monkeys in December of 1995. Which had a similar chair.

I think its the same chair, and the person who drew it even said he took it from the film, so therefore i think they should be sued for misuseage of copyright laws.
